On Friday 3rd June 2022, the people of Balsall Common gathered in Lavender Hall Park to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The first of two bands to entertain us were the Old Time Sailors. More than a dozen musicians dressed in 19th century clothing with a wide range of instruments filled the stage, and performed a very lively set of many folk songs and similar.
