Tuesday 5th July, 15 members
met at the Durham Ox, Shrewley and led by Lynn and Tony
Brinkworth enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk taking in canal and field
paths. Unfortunately on returning to the pub for lunch we
were met by the manager and informed that there had been a power
failure and the Durham Ox had been forced to close, so no lunch.

Tuesday 7th June, a warm
early summers day 18 walkers met at the Queens Head Meriden and
enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk walk led by Alan Buckland. The ramble
passed Alspath Hall and Harvest Hill Farm onto Couchman Farm
before returning via Meriden Shafts and Eaves Green to the
Queens Head for lunch.

Wednesday 18th May, 30 walkers
met at the Bear Inn, Berkswell and led by
Leslie and Carolyn de Chernatony enjoyed a 5.5 mile ramble
across fields to Saint Lawrence Church, Meriden and return.

Tuesday 3rd May, 15 members
met at the Malt Shovel, Bubbenhall and led by Matthew Stephens
enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk across some lovely South Warwickshire
countryside.

Wednesday 20th April, 18
ramblers met at the Boars Head, Hampton Lucy. On a warm
pleasant day they enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk through the
countryside with good views across Warwickshire led by Shirley
Jones.

Tuesday 5th April on mild dry
day, 15 walkers met at the Anchor Inn, Leek Wootton. Led by
Peter Calver they enjoyed a 6 mile ramble, around the northern
edge of the golf course. Along Rouncil Lane and through an
Alpaca farm picking up a bridle way around the medieval deer
park. Returning through Goodrest Farm and across the
middle of the golf course to the pub for a well earned lunch.

Wednesday 16th March, 18
ramblers met at the Bulls Head at Barston. The weather
forecast was not good, it was dry at the start but within an
hour the rain started and lasted for the remainder of the walk.
Led by Juliet Hancox, the group walked towards Eastcote, before
joining the canal towpath towards Knowle, then turning back
across fields to Barston. Parts of the walk were muddy
underfoot due to rain in the past weeks. Despite the
negatives the walkers enjoyed the route, it was the first walk
Juliet had led for the u3a.

Tuesday 1st March, on a cold
dry morning, 15 Ramblers met at The Navigation Inn, Lapworth and
despite some mud enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk including some pathways
across the Baddersley Clinton NT estate.

Wednesday 2nd February, the
Shorter Walks Group met at Castle Farm, Kenilworth and led by
Barbara and Phil Hammonds walked a circular route across Abbey
Fields to the Common and return.

Tuesday 1st February, 18
walkers met at the Tom O' The Wood pub at Rowington. Led
by Bernie and Jim Henry they enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk across open
Warwickshire countryside including footpaths across the
Baddersley Clinton NT estate. The weather was sunny and
mild for the beginning of February.

Wednesday 19th January, 28
members met at Newbold Comyn, Leamington Spa. Led by
Barbara and Phil Hammonds enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk across
Jefferson Gardens, Victoria Park to Foundry Wood, then along the
canal tow path before returning alongside the River Leam.

4th January,
the Ramblers Group met at The Hatton Arms and enjoyed a 5 mile
walk. The return leg was by walking on the canal towpath
alongside the Hatton locks. The weather was dry, but cold
and the fields were muddy.

New Years Day 2022, Richard
Drake led a "Clear the Cobwebs Walk" around the parks and
pathways of Balsall Common.
